The CLA helped celebrate rural businesses at an awards presentation and drinks reception at the Royal Isle of Wight County Show earlier this summer.

The winners of the awards, which are run with the Royal Isle of Wight Agricultural Society, were:

  • Wight Marque Food Business of the Year: Isle of Wight Distillery
  • Rural Tourism Business: IW Donkey Sanctuary
  • Countryside Small Business: Duxmore Botanics
  • Countryside Business: J & B Wholesale Ltd
  • Young Person: Kingsley Hollis
  • IW Rural Business: IW Donkey Sanctuary
  • Lifetime Achievement: Malcolm Purcell.
