Rural Powerhouse Week 2020

Join the CLA for Rural Powerhouse Week, a digital event showcasing the strength and versatility of the rural economy.

Taking place between the 23 – 26 November 2020, each day of the Rural Powerhouse Day will explore a different issue affecting CLA members through a programme of videos, blogs, webinars, podcasts and workshops.

2021 is set to be an extraordinarily turbulent year. The UK will leave the jurisdiction of the European Union, with huge uncertainty as to its future trading arrangements with countries around the world. The transition away from direct payments will begin in earnest. The economy will struggle to restart in the face of Covid-19 and the threat of climate change will reemerge as the dominant global issue of our time.

Now is the time to explore how the rural economy can become more dynamic and productive, and how landowners can play an even greater role in answering the key challenges facing the country.

Rural Powerhouse Week will allow members to make sense of it all, with exclusive insights from senior industry and government figures and analysis from CLA experts.
