One hundred members enjoyed a fascinating tour of the Claydon Estate then a drinks reception and lunch at the CLA Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire joint summer event and AGMs.

The Claydon Estate is a family-run, modern country estate. As stewards of 5,000 acres, the Verney family is committed to producing food, looking after a diverse portfolio of properties that includes listed buildings, and responsibly managing this beautiful corner of the Buckinghamshire countryside for future generations.

Members toured the colourful gardens and enjoyed a trailer tour to the estate's new grain store, followed by a drinks reception in the beautiful walled garden and a two-course lunch with a Mediterranean twist.

CLA Director of Policy and Advice Judicaelle Hammond gave members an update on the organisation's recent work and successes, while Nicholas Verney provided a potted history of the estate.

The event was kindly supported by Knight Frank, Ceres Rural and Forsters.
