After a Covid-enforced absence, many agricultural shows are looking forward to returning this summer

Preparations are well underway for our 2022 programme of events, AGMs and show appearances - and we look forward to seeing as many members in-person as possible.

We begin with a series of free agricultural transition roadshows run in association with Defra next month, with four sessions planned across the region.

We will be at Berkshire College of Agriculture from 9.30am to noon on Wednesday, March 30 and at Sparsholt College in Hampshire that afternoon from 3pm to 5.30pm, and then at Kent Showground from 9.30am to noon on Thursday, March 31 and the South of England Showground on the same day from 3pm to 5.30pm.

Meanwhile several of the South East’s agricultural and summer shows have confirmed their dates, after two years of Covid uncertainty.

This year those going ahead include the South of England Show, running from June 10-12; the Royal Isle of Wight County Show on 25 and 26 June; the New Forest and Hampshire Show from July 26-28; and the Bucks County Show on September 1.

The CLA’s involvement is to be confirmed shortly.

We are also busy planning our 2022 AGM season, with county meetings spread across the spring and autumn.

We will publish the confirmed dates in the next edition of your Land & Business magazine.
