A great day at the Bucks County Show

Despite the drizzle, CLA members enjoy drinks reception and Chief Constable talk

Thames Valley Police Chief Constable Jason Hogg updated members on all things rural crime at the Bucks County Show.

The Chief Constable also took part in a Q&A session in our packed tent, followed by a drinks reception.

Labour’s Shadow Farming Minister Daniel Zeichner MP joined the CLA in the afternoon, to discuss issues including access, housing and the agricultural transition process.

Chief Constable Hogg took on the role in April 2023, following four years as Deputy Chief Constable. In his talk he discussed how Thames Valley's Rural Crime Taskforce is performing, covering recent successes, statistics and trends, and key messages for farmers and landowners.

Members also joined us throughout the day for tea and coffee, chatted with the CLA team and enjoyed our garden area fronting onto the ring.
