North Yorkshire & York LNRS Update
Members are invited to information sessions in January and February - the LNRS will be presented to the North Yorkshire Council Executive on Tuesday 20 January for approval.The LNRS for North Yorkshire and York is expected to be published in February and then transition to delivery phase.
Last July (2025) during public consultation on the LNRS, the Combined Authority facilitated several ½ hour one-to-one sessions (online & in-person) with land managers & farmers introducing them to the online Local Habitat Map. They received good feedback on the sessions, as attendees were able to direct them to the land they manage and they were able to consider the variety of proposed measures (actions) in the vicinity.

Online one-to-one sessions (via MS Teams):
Monday 26 January to Friday 6 February – Online 1-1 session (30 minutes)
In-person one-to-one sessions:
Wednesday 28 January – North Yorkshire Council, Ryedale House, Malton (30 minutes)
Tuesday 3 February – Thirsk Auction Mart (Young Farmers Room) (30 minutes)
Thursday 19 February – Skipton Auction Mart (CCM Auctions - Café) (30 minutes)
