Meeting South Dorset MP Lloyd Hatton
We are continuing to work with MPs to ensure they understand the pressures and needs of rural communities.
The CLA South West team recently hosted a roundtable meeting with South Dorset MP Lloyd Hatton (Labour).
Hosted by our Dorset Branch Chairman James Weld at Lulworth Estate, the meeting involved members with a wide-spectrum of rural businesses interests from within the constituency. The meeting was an opportunity for the CLA South West to highlight the potential of the rural economy and the benefits businesses offer, but also the challenges faced. Key topics of conversation included future farming support such as the impact of the sudden closure of the Sustainable Farming Incentive, Inheritance Tax, rural crime and an update on Poole Harbour.
