Join the CLA South West at Devon County Show 2024

Visit the CLA South West Stand at Devon County Show (May 16 – 18) to meet our regional team and show partners.

We're kicking off our show season at Devon County Show.

Join us on the CLA Stand for complimentary tea and coffee, and chat with our team of advisers who will be available throughout the show to talk through your queries - you can find out more about our advisory sessions below. Whether you want to ask about planning, the future of farming, connectivity or access - our team is here to help.

Alongside our regional team, we will also be joined by the CLA's National Access Advisor Claire Wright and a member of the CLA's tax team.

We are delighted to return on the first day of Devon County Show (Thursday 16 May) with the popular CLA Breakfast, kindly supported by Knight Frank and Michelmores.

On Thursday and Friday, we will be running advisory sessions on the CLA Stand where you can book time to talk with one of our advisory team.

Two of our South West Rural Advisers Chris Farr and Mark Burton will be attending the show and you can see when they are available allowing you to book a time with them to suit your schedule. Sessions are available between 11.15am and 3.45pm. Click here for more information.

We will also be joined by PC Jules Fry and PC Clarke Orchard from Devon and Cornwall Police Rural Affairs Team. They will be visiting the stand on Thursday and Friday (1pm) to give a presentation on the two most common types of crimes encountered by the team - livestock offences and machinery theft - with the opportunity for members to ask questions about how these can be prevented.

On Friday 17 May (2-3.30pm) we will be joined by Simeon Day from the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group South West who will be on hand to discuss farming and the Devon Local Nature Recovery Strategy. The Devon Local Nature Recovery Strategy (DLNRS) is a new approach to helping nature that’s being rolled out across England. It's an opportunity for members to find out more about the scheme and how it will benefit landowners and farmers
