CLA Cornwall branch AGM announcements

The CLA South West recently hosted its Cornwall Branch Annual General Meeting at Spaceport Cornwall

The CLA South West recently hosted its Cornwall Branch Annual General Meeting at Spaceport Cornwall.

During the meeting, Jan Trefusis, Estate Manager at Trefusis Estate, was announced as the new Branch President, taking over the role from outgoing President Trish Stone who was awarded an Armada Dish for her service.

With Jan taking on the role of President, Darran Goldby, Director at Tregothnan Estates, was announced as the Branch Chairman, with Ed Coode elected to take on the role of Vice Chairman. Cornwall Committee was delighted to welcome new committee members Sammie Coryton, of Pentillie Castle, Matthew Rowe and Chris Anderson.

CLA Deputy President Victoria Vyvyan joined the AGM, providing an overview of the CLA’s lobbying activities over the past year, also covering topics of interest such as access, EPCs, licencing for game birds and the agricultural transition.

The AGM was attended by more than 70 members, and once the official business was concluded, members were given an exclusive look at The Space Systems Integration Facility at Spaceport Cornwall and learnt more about its future plans, which include using satellite imaging from the next horizontal satellite launch to support land based businesses.

We would like to thank our partners Savills and Coodes Solicitors for their generous support of the Cornwall AGM.
