An update on political affairs in the south west
Political engagement with MPs across the region continues
Our political engagement in the south west has continued in recent months, with the regional team hosting a number of round table meetings with local MPs, including Rebecca Smith (MP for South West Devon) and Roz Savage (MP for South Cotswolds).
South West Regional Director Ann Maidment commented: "These meetings are a valuable asset in allowing MPs to really see the impact of government decisions on farms within their constituencies, and for members to have constructive conversations about the challenges being faced. Our discussions with MPs have been varied and covered everything from inheritance tax and planning issues to water management and rural crime."
