Sentencing Council Hare Coursing Consultation

The consultation asked for views on specific sentencing guidelines for hare coursing offences. The CLA response was supportive of the draft guidelines which considered culpability, the harm caused in carrying out offences together with aggravating and mitigating factors. As part of the consultation response, we used case studies from members who had experienced increased violence related to hare coursing offences.
