Meirionnydd & Montgomeryshire AGM and event
Join the CLA Cymru team for a unique visit to Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust's habitat projects at Welshpool Golf Club, where nature and rural life meet in a beautiful setting. The golf club is positioned high above the market town of Welshpool providing panoramic views and a remarkable golfing experience.
Adjacent to the course is an area of land owned by Powis Castle Estate and is the site of the recent 'Fairway to Haven Project'. The aim of this project is to make the most of the extensive areas of habitat by managing them thoughtfully to benefit nature.
What will the day include?
Members and friends can look forward to a welcome talk from Regional Director, Victoria Bond, along with the latest updates from the CLA and the AGM.
Becky Tavernor from The State of Mind Consultancy will also give a talk on wellbeing in agriculture and rural life, followed by a walk and talk with Tammy Stretton looking at the Montgomeryshire Wildlife Trust's habitat project
North Wales AGM and event
Indulge in history and explore the Grade II* listed Glyn Cywarch Estate with the CLA Cymru team.
Located in Snowdonia's National Park, the house built by William Wynn in 1616 is a building of Renaissance character, and has been in the Harlech family since the 1800's. Having been thoroughly restored between 2016 and 2023, the thermal insulation of the building has been greatly improved along with the addition of a renewable heating source, alongside traditional crafts such as the use of lime plaster.
What will the day include?
The day will begin with the joint AGM's, followed by a tour and talk about the history of the house and the extensive restoration work it has undergone. Guests will then enjoy a delicious lunch before departing for the day.
South East Wales AGM and event
Learn more about the family-run Rosedew Farm located in the heart of the Vale of Glamorgan with the CLA Cymru team.
The family has diversified the farm into various business opportunities including converting and old stone barn into a stunning wedding venue, with outbuildings used for accommodation for those celebrating the big day.
What will the day include?
Attendees will have the chance to hear from Rhodri Davies himself, who will give an insight into the development of the site and the various diversifications from growing Christmas trees and cabbages, to holiday accommodation and their woodchip business.
Dyfed AGM and event
Fancy a day out at the races, hospitality and attend the Dyfed branch AGM?
We have a great opportunity to go behind the scenes on a race day plus enjoy an afternoon of national hunt racing, hospitality and networking.
A hospitality box with a hot/cold buffet lunch, a stable tour, weigh room visit, parade ring experience and exciting trackside racing all available to members attending.
