Waypoint Planning has launched as a standalone planning consultancy, building on more than five years of planning experience developed within the well-established agricultural and environmental consultancy, Wilson Wraight LLP.

Based near Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, Waypoint Planning will continue to provide dedicated planning advice to rural landowners, estates, and business owners, helping them navigate the UK’s increasingly complex planning system. The rebranded consultancy is formed from the same team, principles and professional approach that clients of Wilson Wraight LLP have come to trust.

The launch reflects the continued growth of Wilson Wraight LLP’s in-house planning service, which expanded steadily in response to growing demand for clear, informed and practical advice on rural development, farm diversification, residential schemes, and commercial projects.

Leading Waypoint Planning is Dan Hewett, a chartered member of both the Royal Town Planning Institute and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and a specialist in the aforementioned planning matters. Dan is supported by a dynamic multi-disciplinary team that includes newly-promoted Planning Consultants Isaac Mace and Tomas Žiromskas, both of whom joined the practice last year under the Wilson Wraight LLP banner and bring their own specialist knowledge and interests.

Waypoint Planning also offers in-house architectural expertise through Architectural Technician Jonathan Squire, allowing planning strategy and design to be developed together from an early stage. This integrated approach is particularly valuable in a rural context, where landscape sensitivity, heritage considerations, and appropriate scale are critical to achieving viable and deliverable outcomes.
