Your invitation to the CLA Somerset Branch Autumn Visit
CLA South West invites members to the Somersedt Branch Autumn Visit (incorporating the Branch AGM) to Quantock Lakes
Join the CLA South West team and fellow guests on Monday 21 September (2.30pm) for our Somerset Branch Autumn Visit to Quantock Lakes, by kind permission of the Jeanes family and supported by Porter Dodson.
This event will also incorporate the Somerset Branch AGM and a CLA Policy Update from our Deputy President Joe Evans.
Set within 200 acres of Somerset countryside on the edge of the Quantock Hills, Quantock Lakes forms part of a long established family farming business that has diversified over time in response to commercial opportunities.
The wider business includes an arable farming operation growing crops including rye and maize which feed into a local anaerobic digester. Alongside farming, the family has developed a range of other business streams and during the visit guests will hear more about the family’s diversification journey, how the different areas of the business have developed and the thinking behind the decisions made along the way.
