We are delighted to invite both members and non-members to Holker Hall to meet representative speakers from Crosby Granger Architects presenting their holistic approach to Whole Estate Planning based upon the three core pillars of financial resilience, environmental stewardship and community engagement and the development of an underlying and all-encompassing vision.

They will be sharing their methodology and their ability to create sustainably viable and growing estates that meet the needs and aspiration of all interested parties including national parks and local authorities.

A key element in the creation of a viable plan is a detailed Bio-Diversity Net gain strategy. 5 June - Building Resilient Rural Businesses with the Next Generation

5

5 June, Ingleborough Estate, The Old Sawmill Cafe, LA2 8DS

£25 + VAT for members, and £35 + VAT for non-members

CLA members and non‑members are invited to the Ingleborough Estate for a forward‑thinking event focused on succession. Designed to be open, honest and rooted in real experience, the day will explore how rural businesses can navigate change with confidence.

The day will begin with real stories of succession, exploring the human side of transition, including unexpected change, family dynamics, and the courage required to learn on the job.

Focus will move onto a discussion around the skills and structures that support effective land management. From bringing experience in from other sectors to choosing the right mix of advisers, staff, and partners, this session will help you identify where your time adds the most value.

Finally, attention will be drawn to estate planning strategies, with the Ingleborough Estate providing a first-hand account of how they are actively building resilience into their business.

Registration will start at 10am, with talks commencing at 10.30am. Lunch will be served at 12.30pm, followed by an informal walk to see some of the projects in context at 1.30pm.
