CLA Charitable Trust beneficiaries in the North
The latest round (June) of the CLA Charitable Trust grants have been made, with the trustees agreeing to 18 grants nationally, totaling nearly £80,000.The latest round (June) of the CLA Charitable Trust grants have been made, with the trustees agreeing to 18 grants nationally, totaling nearly £80,000. Across the North, the following beneficiaries were successful:
- Wear Rivers Trust - Witton-le-Wear in County Durham - £5,000 grant covering a four-day programme to benefit the ‘Wear Warriors’ through the provision of nature-based learning and fieldwork.
- Marsh Street Arches and Gardens CIC - Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria – £5,000 grant supporting the salary costs for a Community Connector who will lead TANGO (Together as Neighbours Giving Out) educational programmes on ‘Earth To Table’, sustainable composting and the benefits of outdoor spaces.
- Team Oasis - Liverpool, Merseyside – £5,000 grant funding to support a ‘plant to plate’ programme on an 8-acre plot in South Liverpool
- Farmspace Barnsley - South Yorkshire – £5,000 grant funding to build a warm indoor space on their farm to support adult wellbeing programmes.
- Growing Works - Huddersfield, West Yorkshire - £5,000 core funding to support the provision of outdoor, inclusive and therapeutic services.
- Harewood House Trust – Leeds, West Yorkshire - £3,145 for providing funded visits with Gipton Old Fire Station and Kidz Klub Leeds.
