CLA at the Westmorland Show

The CLA North team, led by CLA Director North Harriet Ranson, will be out in force at this year’s Westmorland County Show, which will be held over two days on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September.

Joining us on the first day of the show will be CLA President Gavin Lane, along with notable guests from the farming and land use sector. Over the two days, we are expecting several VIPs and representatives from various organisations.

On the second day from 10am till 11am, we will be joined by HMRC officers Gary Craig and Rebecca Stewart to talk about the new Making Tax Digital threshold which comes into effect in April 2027. (The new threshold will include anyone with earnings of £30,000 or more.)

Also on the Thursday, Julian Mahony, Director of Customer Experience at the Rural Payments Agency, alongside Kath Illidge, Head of Customer Engagement and Support, will visit the CLA stand at 1:30pm.
