CLA at the Westmorland County Show
The CLA North team will be out in force at this year’s Westmorland County Show (stand C 80) on 10 and 11 September.CLA Deputy President Gavin Lane is attending along with CLA Director North Harriet Ranson and CLA advisers on both days of the show. Members and guests are welcome to join us for refreshments and a chat.
On Wednesday 10 September, pop in to see our CLA North team and guest experts
- 11am – 1pm: Peter Knox, Land Use Adviser at the Forestry Commission will be at the stand to provide advice to members interested in woodland creation, and specifically the Woodland Creation Grant, and almost any other aspect of forestry and woodland matters.
- 1pm – 3pm: Natural England's Catchment Sensitive Officers will be at the CLA stand to provide expert advice on indispensable tools for farmers and land managers such as MAGIC, ALERT, Grantfinder and SFI tool finder. Experts will also be able to talk about Environment Agency inspections.
- All day: CLA Insurance's Freddie Braithwaite-Exley will be available to furnish members with advice on their insurance requirements; alongside the CLA Energy's Jonathan Miller who can advise on business energy needs and contracts.
We will also be at the show on Thursday 11 September, and on either day, we welcome members and guests to speak to our expert advisers on a range of land management issues. In addition to our advisers, we will have CLA Insurance's Jade Pringle to advise on any aspect of insurance.
