Could you help tell the rural story?

Call out for member case studies
Combining - July 26 - Midlands

Practical and first hand experiences from CLA members are one of the most powerful ways we can show the opportunity, diversity and challenges faced by rural businesses. Whether it’s speaking to journalists, contributing to articles or responding to topical issues, member voices help others understand what is happening on the ground.

We would like to hear from members who may be willing to share their experiences, provide a short quote or, where appropriate, speak to the press on specific subjects affecting landowners, farmers and rural businesses.

Topics could include farming and the agricultural transition, diversification, rural crime, planning, access, housing, environmental schemes, nature recovery, heritage, tourism, energy, succession, rural skills or the wider pressures and potentials facing countryside businesses.

You do not need to be an experienced media spokesperson. In many cases, we may simply be looking for a short comment, a practical example or background information to help shape an article. Where there is a possibility to speak to the press, the CLA Midlands communications Manager, Natalie Oakes, will support you throughout and will only put members forward with their agreement.

If you have a story to share or would be happy for us to contact you when relevant media opportunities arise, please get in touch. By sharing your experiences, you can help ensure the rural voice is heard clearly and accurately in the media.

Please call Natalie on 01785 337 010 or email Natalie.oakes@cla.org.uk.
