The CLACT has a well-established scholarship programme with Harper Adams University in Shropshire, which aims to support students from backgrounds that are traditionally underrepresented in the rural economy during their second and fourth years.

The CLACT offers scholarships to students who are studying specified Agriculture, Agri-business, Land and Property Management and Environment, Sustainability and Wildlife courses at the university.

For the 2022 / 23 academic year, four scholarships were presented by Midlands Rural Surveyor John Greenshields to Stephen Dale-Sunley, BSc / BSc Hons Rural Enterprise and Land Management, Michael Lewis, BSc / BSc Hones Agriculture, Will Griffiths, BSc / BSc Hons Rural Enterprise and Land Management and Stuart Rowlands, BSc / BSc Hons Rural Property Management.

All of the recipients spoke of their gratitude in receiving the scholarships and expressed how it had helped them with various skills including interview experience.

A new scholarship programme has been launched alongside Aberystwyth University for the 2022 / 23 academic year and will focus on supporting students in their first and second years.
