At the heart of the agricultural community

The CLA Midlands team were thrilled to join Aaron & Partners Solicitors on their stand again at this year’s Burwarton Show.

Dating back to 1981, and known as the biggest one-day agricultural show in Shropshire, thousands of visitors flocked to the showground in Cleobury North to see what was on offer.

Hosting two drop-in workshops, experts from both the CLA and Aaron & Partners welcomed members and friends to the stand to discuss a range of challenges facing the rural sector, from inheritance tax changes to succession planning.

It was wonderful to be back at Burwarton this year and have the opportunity to meet many of our Shropshire members and friends of the CLA. It is at shows like this where the resilience of the rural community really shines through and we get to have face to face conversations, addressing ongoing challenges which are being faced by the farming and landowning industry. It was a happy coincidence that Burwarton also fell on the same day as Farm24. A campaign which the CLA supports every year, bringing farming to the forefront and celebrating the hard work that takes place in the sector to produce food that ends up on our tables.

Burwarton Show

With a day full of livestock showing, main ring attractions and rural crafts, Burwarton delivered a true display of community welcoming everyone from land managers and farmers, to those discovering the joys of the countryside for the first time.

We look forward to attending again next year!
