The CLA is proud to have been awarded a special plaque to recognise the work it has done to raise awareness of the mental health charity YANA.

YANA provides help for those involved in farming and other rural businesses affected by stress and depression. The plaque was presented to CLA East Regional Director Cath Crowther by Henry Kilvert, Chair of YANA.

Several CLA staff are among those to have undertaken the YANA mental health first aid training the charity organises.

CLA East Membership Relations Manager Duncan Margetts has attended the training and says it has given him the confidence to help others when they need it.

“Any of us can face challenges with our mental health and I feel it is important for there to be a network of people you can turn to that will understand how best to help you if you are struggling. I feel privileged to have been trained by YANA and I know the skills I have developed with prove incredibly important in my role.”

If you need to talk, or are concerned about someone, YANA is by your side with its helpline and counselling: 0300 323 0400 or helpline@yanahelp.org.
