Claire Murray takes part in Channel 4 show which features her glamping site
CLA East membership relations manager Claire Murray was among the contestants taking part in the most recent series of the teatime Channel 4 show Four in a Bed.
The programme pits bed and breakfast, camping and glamping site owners against each other, with contestants visiting each other’s businesses and judging their establishments on a set criteria.
Claire, who farms near Ely, opened her Mad Hatters Camping and Glamping site in 2019. The site has a mix of glamping cabins and bell tents, along with touring and camping pitches and is set in a wild flower meadow.
Speaking about the experience of being on a mainstream TV show Claire said: “I was interested in taking part in the show as I was curious as to how the television industry operates.
“The filming days were a surreal experience. It took a long time to capture all the content the crew needed for each episode but the contestants were all a lovely bunch, which made it much easier.
“Watching the programme when it aired on Channel 4 was a bit nerve racking as you don’t get to see anything before it goes out. Overall I think it went well and it was a positive experience and I’m pleased that I took part.”
