CLA raises members’ inheritance tax concerns at the Suffolk Show
The CLA met with MPs and the media during the two day event
The Suffolk Show was a tremendous success again this year as hundreds of members attended the CLA’s hospitality in its marquee across the two days.
The show presented an excellent opportunity for the CLA to meet with MPs and the media to highlight members’ concerns over the government’s inheritance tax plans, the closure of SFI and other issues impacting them.
CLA President Victoria Vyvyan was interviewed by ITV Anglia television, along with other media outlets, while Regional Director Cath Crowther was interviewed by the BBC.

Labour MP Jenny Riddell-Carpenter was the guest speaker on the first day of the show. Conservative MP James Cartlidge, Victoria Atkins, who is Shadow Secretary of the State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Rt Hon Dame Thérèse Coffey also joined the CLA marquee and met with the team.
Additionally, the CLA met with a representative from the Defra trade team as well as the police.
