The strength of the CLA’s regional teams lies in their detailed local knowledge. In each of our six regions in England and Wales, members will find advisers who understand in depth the issues that matter most to them.
They give support and help on how best to deal with the bureaucracy and regulation which farms and rural businesses endure.
Advice is available on grants, rights of way, access, flooding, promoting local foods and so on. They are supported by the advisory team in the national office. Regional team members also lobby for members’ interests at a local level. All have press officers representing your views in the local media.
Regular events are organised in all regions, varying from seminars on tax advice and EU policy, hedge-laying courses and opportunities to socialise and network. The London Branch offers networking and events to those with strong rural connections who spend much of their time in the capital.
