The Code of Good Shooting Practice

The Code of Good Shooting Practice sets out best practice on a range of issues relating to shooting for shoot managers, guns, gamekeepers and their employees. Everyone involved in shooting should follow it and encourage others to do so. By ensuring high standards and sustainability together with avoiding nuisance to others all those that participate play a role in maintaining a positive image of the sport.

The steering committee governing the Code is made up of a number of organisations with an interest in shooting, including the CLA.  Allegations that the Code has been breached can be investigated by the steering committee and if substantiated corrective measures can be sought.
