Productivity, collaboration and innovation were the themes at this year’s woodland management conference, held at the stunning Newbury Racecourse.
The day featured talks and workshops by industry leaders and experts on topics such as new technologies, future-proofing and tree health.
Speakers at yesterday’s event included John Cardwell from Nando’s, Tom Barnes from Vastern Timber and Ian Baker of the Small Woods Association, who demonstrated how end users, producers and suppliers work together, both now and in the future.
The conference, kindly supported by Pryor & Rickett Silviculture and Forest Holidays, also hosted a tech hub, and offered funding information and practical advice.
It was organised in partnership with the Forestry Commission and Grown in Britain, who both provided expert speakers on the day.
