An arts festival is appealing for South East landowners to come forward to be the host site for next summer’s event.
Brainchild Festival is an award-winning, not-for-profit multi-arts festival which has been running for six years.
Organisers are currently looking for a new site in the South East for July 2020 and beyond.
They are looking to form a partnership with a landowner who is comfortable with using their land for large-scale events, interested in the arts and could accommodate the festival for the long-term future.
Brainchild works with emerging artists, providing creative opportunities to young people. Its programme spans music, theatre, poetry, comedy, cabaret, panel discussions and workshops. It has twice won the AIM Award for Best Independent Festival by public vote and this year received funding from Arts Council England.
It has now reached a capacity of 3,000 attendees (2,000 ticketholders, 1,000 artists/crew).
Potential sites need to be a minimum of 25 acres with a lack of residential accommodation nearby, access to roads and provision for artic lorries, drinking water taps on site and a pre-existing relationship with a local authority.
