land agent/auctioneer/farm consultant vacancies, Melton Mowbray

30 April 2019

Shouler & Son Land Agents, Auctioneers, Surveyors, Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire have a number of vacancies that may be of interest to members.

Shouler & Son were founded in 1846 and continue to grow a modern forward looking business that has a diverse range of clients for whom a wide number of services are provided.

With continued growth and future retirement of partners three exciting opportunities have arisen for ambitious individuals to join our traditional family firm.  Some may be attracted in preference to being part of a larger more corporate firm.  For all positions there will be excellent career progression and for the right individuals, partnership if desired in due course.

We require a qualified experienced land agent/auctioneer who in addition to being FAAV will likely be MRICS, perhaps also an RICS Registered Valuer.  They will deal with a wide range of clients from landed estates to working farmers.  They also may become involved with other aspects of the business – for example on site farm machinery sales, and our auction rooms.

There is an exciting opportunity for a farm business consultant to provide BPS/Stewardship/ELMS advice to our farm and estate clients.  Candidates will have experience in all environmental areas.  To be able to advise on all aspects including applications, claims and troubleshooting formal qualifications are preferable but not essential.

Our busy mixed rural practice also requires a graduate land agent to assist with a wide range of management and professional work.  The successful applicant is likely to have an interest in estate management as well as consultancy and will undertake diverse tasks for management and consultancy clients.

All positions are based in our main office in Melton Mowbray.  There is potential for the graduate to assist one of the partners in an on-site estate office a short drive away.

Competitive remuneration packages are on offer and will be commensurate with age, qualifications and experience.   If you are interested please send your CV with a covering email to a.dickinson@shoulers.co.uk
