Nick is a Chartered Surveyor with over thirty years’ experience of estate management and specialises in historic properties and all aspects of rural estates, including renewable energy, forestry, wildlife mitigation and habitat restoration and diversification schemes. He has a long history working with the CLA and currently sits on the CLA Business and Rural Economy Committee and Norfolk Branch Committee, having previously chaired the Kent Branch Committee.

Cath joined the CLA in October 2019 moving from her role as a partner at property consultancy firm Bidwells. Cath is a qualified chartered surveyor and a fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers. She grew up on an arable and sheep farm in South Wales and moved to Cambridgeshire in 2009, to join Bidwells. Cath's main focus over the last few years has been on rural development, diversification projects, renewable energy and identifying and implementing alternative ways to generate new income streams and capital value.

Tim trained at the Royal Agricultural College (RAC), and has practised as a Rural Surveyor for over 25 years, specialising in estate management and advising institutional, charitable, and private landowners. He was the Regional Rural Surveyor for the National Trust in the East of England for eight years and has spent time on a consultancy basis as Interim Chief Surveyor for the CLA at Belgrave Square in London.

Alison joined the CLA in January 2020 as a Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer, having studied Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University College, and has over 7 years’ experience in the rural sector.
Alison began her career in 2011 with a regional property consultancy in their Hertfordshire office, qualifying as a rural chartered surveyor in 2013 before spending over 5 years with a national consultancy specialising in Estate Management,. More recently, Alison has been advising private, corporate and institutional landowners on a range of matters affecting their agricultural, residential, and commercial property portfolios throughout East Anglia.

Rachel graduated from the Royal Agricultural University with a degree in agriculture and land management. She is a BASIS/FACTS/BETA qualified agronomist and worked for Hutchinsons for six years. Prior to joining the CLA, Rachel was employed at the Euston Estate in Suffolk, helping to run their estate office, complete BPS forms and administer agri-environment schemes, amongst other roles.

Lee is a former broadcast news editor for a cluster of radio stations in the east of England. He has also held a media and communications role at Stansted Airport and most recently was the Head of Communications at the Youth Sport Trust, where he oversaw national media activity linked to the London 2012 Olympic Legacy and a range of other high profile campaigns.

Emily-Rose organises the CLA's events programme for members as well as the organisation's attendance at county shows in the region. She joined the CLA after graduating from Norwich University College of Arts with a degree in textiles, specialising in woven cloth. Having grown up on her family's farm in Suffolk, Emily-Rose is an active member of her local Young Farmers Club, Hadleigh YFC.

Alexandra (Alli) joined the CLA East team in October 2018 and oversees the coordination of our nine branch committees in the region. Alli graduated from the University of East Anglia in 2013 with a degree in history. She joined the CLA following a role as Business Support Coordinator for the estates and outdoors teams at the National Trust. Outside of work Alli spends most of her time sewing, horse riding and baking.

Bernard returned to manage the family farm near Wisbech after training in agriculture at Writtle College. Having set up a contract farming agreement he worked firstly for Greenvale Foods before becoming ADER’s (Agricultural Development in the Eastern Region) Project Officer for Cambridgeshire. His interests include supporting local sports teams, savouring regional food and drink and harnessing the power of social media. A keen Twitter user Bernard can be found tweeting @blueberntwo. Farmer’s daughter Helen is the CLA Territory Manager for Northamptonshire, Herefordshire, South Shropshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire. She brings hands-on experience in farming along with in-depth knowledge of the agricultural sector, having previously worked at Rare Breeds Survival Trust and National Sheep Association.

After leaving school, Mark worked on a 1000 acre mixed farm as a general farm worker where they grew cereals, sugar beet and potatoes. There was also a suckler cow herd and a flock of 200 ewes. He studied agriculture at the University of Nottingham before working for the NFU in Warwickshire for four years and a further 18 years with them in Lincolnshire.
