GN18-21 Temporary structures including marquees for events – Planning and Heritage issues

Local planning authorities can sometimes be reluctant to grant consent for temporary structures, especially near heritage. This Guidance Note first provides advice on whether temporary structures like marquees need planning permission and/or heritage consents. Where they do, it suggests how you can maximise the chances of getting consent in practice.
