Megan Lock BSc MCIEEM

South East - Rural Adviser

Megan joined the CLA in 2013 as a Rural Adviser with over 18 years’ experience in the land based sector. She trained at Sparsholt College, affiliated by Portsmouth University – studying Agriculture, Countryside Management and then a BSc in Ecology and Conservation.  Prior to joining the CLA, Megan worked for Natural England as a Land Management Adviser delivering Agri-Environment agreements, designated site and protected species advice for a number of years, followed by taking a position as an Estate Land Manager on Exmoor managing 5 shooting estates.

Megan is responsible for environmental issues and policies affecting members and provides advice and support on a wide range of areas to do with land management (such as, stewardship schemes, BPS, protected landscapes and designated sites, rural grants, resource protection, woodland management, biodiversity offsetting, natural capital and protected species).
