Fenella Collins MRICS
Head of Planning
Fenella is a chartered surveyor (Rural Board) with 19 years experience advising CLA members about matters related to development management and planning policy.
An important part of Fenella’s role is researching, developing and promoting CLA policy across Planning-related issues as they effect rural economies, communities and environment. Over the years, Fenella has delivered some important lobbying successes including at national planning policy levels, and in changes to planning regulation especially permitted development rights for farm buildings, amongst others. Fenella is also responsible for advising on designated areas regulation and policy too Before joining the CLA, she worked, as a chartered surveyor, at Faulkner’s Chartered Surveyors in Hertfordshire after returning to university to undertake a Rural Land Management degree and a MSc in Forestry. Prior to this, Fenella worked for IBM for 13 years.
