East - Rural Surveyor
Alison joined the CLA in January 2020 as a Chartered Surveyor and Agricultural Valuer, having studied Rural Enterprise and Land Management at Harper Adams University College, and has over 7 years’ experience in the rural sector.
Alison began her career in 2011 with a regional property consultancy in their Hertfordshire office, qualifying as a rural chartered surveyor in 2013 before spending over 5 years with a national consultancy specialising in Estate Management, initially as an Assistant Estate Manager on an 11,000 acre estate in Bedfordshire. More recently, Alison has been advising private, corporate and institutional landowners on a range of matters affecting their agricultural, residential, and commercial property portfolios throughout East Anglia.
Alison is part of the CLA East team, and is responsible for advising members on a wide range of matters relating to their rural businesses and land ownership, including landlord and tenant issues, agricultural and land law, rights of way and access, residential and commercial tenancies and regulation.
In addition to advising members, Alison is involved with a number of rural stakeholder groups, representing the CLA’s views on key issues such as rural crime, and is also the CLA East lead Adviser for the Oxford-Cambridge Arc scheme.
