The flexible programme offers several ways of learning through seminars, workshops and other practical, hands-on events covering a wide variety of subject areas.
The programme's strengths lie in its ability to meet current deficiencies in training for farmers and landowners, and in its unique approach based on 'training through example’:
Another important feature is the chosen formula of stand-alone seminars and workshops that can be chosen on a mix-and-match basis to meet the particular needs of trainees and built on thereafter with more specialised, tailor-made training provision.
The workshops in particular provide trainees with the opportunity to develop their own projects and plans, or solve existing business problems as part of the training process.
Enterprise Works is being delivered by the West Midlands Region of the Country Land and Business Association Ltd. – the leading organisation representing and supporting farmers, landowners and businesses in rural communities within England and Wales.
The Enterprise Works project is supported under the England Rural Development Programme by the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs and the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund.
