Over recent months the CLA has been working with all three major parties as part of their policy development programmes to influence manifesto pledges for the 2015 General Election.
This work has been drawn together to create the CLA 2015 Manifesto, Unlock the Countryside’s Potential, which was launched by the CLA President Henry Robinson in the first debate at this year’s CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace.
Our message is clear; we want the next Government to have an agenda with the Countryside at its heart. That is exactly what this document does. Over the coming weeks, every MP and Prospective Parliamentary Candidate (PCC) will receive a copy of the CLA manifesto. This is a challenge to them and to Whitehall policy makers to ensure that what they promise the public over the next nine months is rural proof and deliverable.
