CLA56 - Business and commercial lettings: a guide for landowners

In seeking to generate more income from rural property, there are often opportunities to let buildings to others for commercial use. Owners must be careful not to fall foul of the regulations that govern the conversion and use of buildings, and must also be aware of the legislation which governs commercial lettings.

This handbook sets out the issues which must be considered in relation to such lettings and reviews the problems that arise during the tenancy. The law is explained so that owners may be aware of the opportunities that are open to them and of the rights that the tenant may have. Within the appendices there is a specimen lease and other forms with detailed explanatory notes that owners should find useful in managing their commercial tenancies.

Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
