CLA59 - Solar energy: a guide for land managers Solar power is of real interest to both rural and urban property owners as it uses an inexhaustible natural resource to deliver energy and is supported by Government regulation in the form of the Feed-in Tariff (effective from April 2010) and the proposed Renewable Heat Incentive (which is planned to be introduced in June 2011, subject to formal confirmation). This handbook looks at the background to solar power, considers the opportunities for landowners and rural businesses and includes an outline of the planning and engineering constraints that apply.
