CLA welcomes appointment of Michael Seals as Animal Health and Welfare Board chairman The CLA today (8 August) welcomed the appointment of Michael Seals to the chairmanship of the Animal Health and Welfare Board for England. Farming Minister Jim Paice has announced that Mr Seals, who runs a family-owned livestock and arable farm in Derbyshire, will chair the newly formed Board. CLA President William Worsley said: "We warmly welcome the Minister's decision to appoint Michael Seals to this key position. "His chairmanship of National Fallen Stock Company and the National Register of Sprayer Operators and his work as a member of the Agricultural Land Tribunal make Michael ideal for this vital job. I am sure he will enjoy the confidence and support of the industry in his work." |

Please note that whilst the advisers are able to advise on a wide range of subjects relating to land ownership, they cannot act in place of a member's own solicitor, accountant, surveyor and tax specialist by, for example, drafting documents or corresponding on their behalf and may be precluded, by the rules of their own professions, from advising one CLA member against another CLA member in the case of conflict.
Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
