Food and Farming Minister Jim Paice today (23 July) visited The CLA Game Fair at Ragley Hall, Warwickshire.  

During his tour of the Game Fair the Minister met Dr Charles Trotman, the CLA's Head of Rural Business Development, where he learned about the CLA's Just Ask campaign. The initiative encourages the public to ask where the food on their plate comes from whenever they eat out. It aims to stimulate consumers to choose locally-produced, seasonal food.

Mr Paice said: “There is huge amount of ignorance about food out there so anything the CLA does to encourage people to understand how food is produced has to be a good thing. Children are also far more likely to become discriminating food buyers when they grow up.”
