New ‘Lady’s Day’ adds touch of sartorial style to CLA Game FairWomen visiting this year's CLA Game Fair at Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire (Friday, 20 July to Sunday, 22 July) will get the chance to add a touch more glamour to this year's event with the launch of "The Lady's Day". In conjunction with The Lady magazine, The Lady's Day takes place on Saturday, 21 July when the best dressed woman will be awarded a fabulous prize of two tickets for the Orient Express.
Fashion-spotters from the CLA and from The Lady including Social Etiquette Editor Thomas Blaikie, as well as from The Orient Express are to circulate the CLA Game Fair site to invite potential winners to The Lady's stand for the judging competition that afternoon. Those selected can also attend a talk by Thomas Blaikie on fashion for special events.
As an additional reward for bringing an extra sense of style to the event, nominated ladies will receive complimentary badges to the CLA Members Enclosure.
Prizes will be awarded to the most elegantly dressed in the following categories:
o The Social Lady - stylishly dressed for a special event. The prize is a £250 voucher to spend at Basler; o The Country Lady - practically but elegantly dressed for a day in the British countryside. The prize is a £250 voucher to spend at The Really Wild Clothing Company; o The Lady – the woman judged to be the best dressed out of The Social Lady and The Country Lady will win a pair of tickets for the legendary Venice Simplon-Orient Express from Venice to London.
Catherine Tytherleigh, CLA Game Fair Marketing and Development Manager, said: ""We are really excited to be working with The Lady magazine to recognise that women with great taste are not confined to towns and cities.
"As the world's biggest countryside event, the CLA Game Fair is a real social occasion with many of our visitors exhibiting a wonderful sense of style. With more than 1,000 tradestands at the CLA Game Fair, this is also a chance to focus on the home-grown talent of some great British fashion designers."
Helen Robinson, The Lady's Sales Manager, added: "The CLA Game Fair is an absolute must for many of our readers and we are very much looking forward to meeting them on our stand on Lady's day"
