Rural land owners will benefit from joining the CLA

Do you earn income from your land?

You may own a property and some land but do not farm yourself.  Perhaps your land is farmed by a local farmer or a contractor or perhaps it was acquired through inheritance or investment.  In each case, your land is an asset, you receive an income from it and whether or not you actively farm, you have both rights and legal responsibilities over that land.

The CLA is the only organisation solely dedicated to defending your interests as someone who owns land and we are your only truly independent and authoritative source of advice. We fight for your rights and ensure you know all about your responsibilities.

What you get as a member

Free, unbiased support – free and unlimited practical help and advice from your regional team on every aspect of your landownership which can be invaluable. Whatever questions or concerns you may have your local office is there to help.
Advice and knowledge from the experts – from the CLA’s in-house barristers, surveyors, planning and tax specialists.
Working to protect your interests – landowners cannot complain about the law or property-based taxes if we do not act together vigorously to defend our interests.
