Tuesday 8 July 9.00 - 9.30am Press Briefing by CLA Deputy President - and Yorkshire landowner - William Worsley in Yorkshire Agricultural Society Press Pavilion.
Tuesday 8 July The CLA Yorkshire Region's new PR & Communications Adviser, Pete Ward, will attend the Great Yorkshire Show on Tuesday 8 July to meet journalists and members prior to taking up his role officially on 28 July. Pete brings over 25 years' PR and marketing communications experience to the role, including extensive knowledge of agricultural and rural matters, latterly as a director of Harrogate-based Tangerine PR.
Wednesday 9 July CLA National President, Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, will be visiting the Great Yorkshire Show. Wednesday 9 July 3.00pm Presentation of CLA Long Service Awards to Gamekeepers and Riverkeepers by CLA President Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, in front of YAS President's Pavilion. (These presentations were "washed out" by the cancellation of CLA Game Fair at Harewood House in 2007.)
The 9 recipients from across Yorkshire include some great characters who have been responsible for managing moors, woods and rivers for over 40 years.
Details of individual recipients will be circulated prior to the event.

A farmer’s daughter from the North York Moors, where her brothers still farm, Dorothy has clocked up more than 30 years’ service to the rural economy since graduating from Wye College (University of London) with a degree in agriculture.
She qualified as a rural practice chartered surveyor (land agent) whilst working for Savills plc in London and York, dealing with sales and purchases of country houses and estates as well as the management of investment estates for financial institutions.
Prior to joining the CLA, Dorothy worked for the National Trust in Yorkshire. There she managed some 30,000 acres of outstanding countryside as well as being responsible for historic houses open to the public and the acquisition of major new properties.
Dorothy was awarded an MBE in the 2011 New Year Honours List in recognition of her services to rural affairs.

Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
