Local Development Plans

The following is an update on the Local Development Plans of Local Authorities within Wales

Caerphilly County Borough Council

Caerphilly CBC is currently expecting to issue the full LDP to the Inspector in October 2009 with his response to the Plan early in 2010.

Carmarthenshire County Council

The Council will be going out to Public Consultation on the Preferred Strategy during September/October 2009. For exact dates and further details members are advised to contact the Forward Planning Department at Carmarthenshire County Council on 01267 228818.

Gwynedd County Council has just adopted the Unitary Development Plan and is commencing initial work on the Local Development Plan in the autumn of 2009. A Public Consultation is expected on initial candidate site during the Spring of 2010 – exact dates will be published early 2010.

Merthy Tydfil County Borough Council

The Development Plan is to be submitted to the Inspector during August and the official Inspector's Report on the Plan is expected to be published during November.

The CLA are not able to respond to each individual LDP and members are advised to check the details either at the local Council Offices or through their website. Please contact the Regional Office if you need advice on any aspect of the LDP in your area.

Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
