Local Development Plans update

The CLA are not able to respond to each individual LDP and members are advised to check the details either at the local Council Offices or through their website.  Please contact the Regional Office if you need advice on any aspect of the LDP in your area.  The latest information received is below.

Cardiff City Council

Cardiff City Council is proposing to submit the full Local Development Plan to the Independent Inspector on 16th March 2010.  Full details of the plan will be available on the Council's website www.cardiff.gov.uk - follow the links through Environment – Planning – Development Plan.

 

Neath/Port Talbot

The authority will be inviting submissions for candidate sites (second opportunity to do so) during February/March 2010.  Exact dates will be confirmed as soon as possible.  Interested members should check the Council's website www.neath-porttalbot.gov.uk and type in Local Development Plan.

 

Wrexham County Borough Council

Wrexham CBC will be going out to public consultation on the likely sites and policies within their Local Development Plan on 4th June 2010 for a six weeks period.  Details will be made available in due course

 

Newport City Council

Newport City Council have published the Preferrred Strategy for their Local Development Plan and comments are invited on this strategy.  The full document is available to view at the Civic Centre (Reception No. 2) at all Newport libraries or on the council website : www.newport.gov.uk/planningpolicy.  Any comments on the strategy must be forwarded to the Council, either by hand on their representation forms, or online by 4.00 p.m. on Friday 5th March. 

 

Rhondda Cynon Taf

This Council have launched a consultation on their Local Development Plan statement of Focussed changed to the Deposit LDP and supplementary planning guidance.  This Consultation period is to run from 14th January to 24th February 2010.  Copies of the documents are available to view at all the Council offices, One4All Centre, libraries and on the Council's website : www.rhondda-cynon-taff.gov.uk

Please note that whilst the advisers are able to advise on a wide range of subjects relating to land ownership, they cannot act in place of a member's own solicitor, accountant, surveyor and tax specialist by, for example, drafting documents or corresponding on their behalf and may be precluded, by the rules of their own professions, from advising one CLA member against another CLA member in the case of conflict.

Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
