Get a Green Advantage in New Year says Business Link

Make 2009 the year your company goes green, says Business Link.  Not only will you ease the pressure on the bank balance at a time where every penny counts, you can also help the planet and boost your credentials to the growing market of customers who require environmentally responsible suppliers.

To help businesses get started Business Link, in conjunction with Tourism South East, is running a series of workshops specifically for owners, managers and employees working in the leisure, tourism and hospitality industry.

All workshops are free to attend and packed full of useful advice about how to save money and grow your business by turning greener. They are open to all and you don't need to be a Tourism South East member.  Tips will include energy saving, water and waste reduction ideas, how to buy local, and the best ways to communicate your green credentials to your customers and industry contacts.

Paul Jeffries, Sustainability Manager from Tourism South East said, "This is a great opportunity for the region's tourism and leisure businesses to get some hands on, practical advice about the changes they can make to the way they do things. Some very simple, low cost actions can bring big rewards and we are delighted to have joined up with Business Link to show people just how easy it can be to make a real difference."
