Farm Diversification The Business Case, Land Use Issues and the Whole Farm Approach

An event organised by Planning Aid to be held at the Loyd Lindsay Rooms, Ardington near Wantage on Wednesday, 28th February, 2007

In the profession of determining or advising on rural planning applications and would like to know more about how the new subsidy
system is affecting farming, and the knock on effects on the landscape and rural communities? Interested in understanding and using Landscape assessment information as a tool in the decision making process, or as a guide to ensure your planning application stands the best chance of approval? Thinking of new ways of generating income on your holding but just don't know where to begin? Having ideas for use of your redundant buildings but don't know where to start?
Trying to find out how to go about getting planning permission? Exploring the best approach integrating your business ideas into an existing farm enterprise? If the answer is yes to any of these questions, then this workshop is a must for you. This unique workshop is designed to bring together rural planners and those in the process of diversifying their farm businesses. Participants will gain hands on experience of some of the issues affecting applicants for planning permission on farm holdings, and the issues facing those who determine planning applications, whilst Business Link and Lloyds TSB Agriculture will advise on the financial reasons why we need to consider diversification projects, given the state of UK agriculture, stressing the importance of planning, budgeting and the involvement of professional advice.

Solicitors Indemnity Fund . Solicitors in the CLA Legal Team are not covered by the Solicitors Indemnity Fund in relation to professional negligence in relation to any advice given by them.
