Free Energy Efficiency Audits for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs)

Creative Environmental Networks (CEN) is a not for profit organisation delivering a range of services to engage householders, businesses and communities in environmental and social improvement.

CEN can provide businesses with a free energy audit and advice service in collaboration with South East England Development Agency (SEEDA).  The Business Resources Efficiency and Waste (BREW) project, which is funded by SEEDA, is a government initiative that targets SMEs throughout the Southeast of England.  The aim of the service is to reduce the energy consumption of businesses, which will not only result in environmental improvements through a reduction in carbon emissions but will ultimately reduce the financial overheads of SMEs.  The service also provides SMEs with information on the feasibility of installing a renewable technology at their site.

The service:

CEN have developed the Business Energy Check service that provides SMEs with a tailored energy assessment, which will identify potential financial savings and business improvements across the following areas:

1.      Insulation

2.      Heating

3.      Lighting

4.      Equipment

5.      Renewable Energy

6.      Energy Management

If the business can gain additional benefits from a site visit an additional free audit may be provided, to further assess site specific conditions and behavioural issues.  CEN can provide further advice and support for any installation that is recommended following the site visit.

Support services include assistance with government grant application schemes such as the Carbon Trust interest free loans as well as the LCBP and the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme.  All of this service is free of charge, with no catch or commitment necessary by the business.  If you would like more information about the free energy audits offered by CEN please contact us on 020 8683 6625.
