Channel 4’s Country House RescueChannel 4 is looking for people who own historic or country houses to take part in a fourth series of 'Country House Rescue'. Ruth Watson, stately home owner, successful businesswoman and award winning hotelier has already helped turn around the fortunes of many magnificent country houses, through diversification, business guidance and straight-talking commonsense. If you, or someone you know, were to take part, the house could be featured exclusively in a one hour episode on primetime Channel 4. The last series was watched by an average of 2.7 million viewers. 'Country House Rescue' is an 8-part series which follows the process of diversification at eight historic houses, as the owners seek appropriate ways of using their homes to generate revenue and ensure the survival of the property into the future. Each hour-long programme features one house over a six month period. The owners receive tailor-made advice and ideas from renowned businesswoman and trouble-shooter, Ruth Watson. Having successfully stewarded a number of historical houses and businesses in the past - including Hintlesham Hall in Suffolk - Ruth is keen to pass on her wealth of experience. Channel 4 is looking for eight country houses who would be interested in finding out more about this new series. Perhaps you are looking into diversifying for the first time? Or perhaps you have an existing business which needs repointing and reviving? Ruth's objective is to advise home owners on how to make their home as profitable as it can be. Owners should be open to the idea of how their home can work as a business and be willing to explore ways to achieve that goal.
