North Wessex Downs LEADER seeks a Programme ManagerThe job of Programme Manager is now advertised for The North Wessex Downs LEADER Programme. This important rural development role would be based in Hungerford, Berkshire. The LEADER fund is part of the RDPE, and administered by a local action group, including farmers, foresters and a wide range of people from the rural community. The role of the Programme Manager is to ensure the delivery of the LEADER programme in the rural community in the North Wessex Downs. LEADER is part of the Rural Development Programme for England. We have secured £2.5 million to invest in our area over the next 5 years and the Programme Manager will be crucial to our success.

You will be supported by a Local Action Group, elected from such bodies, and you will be expected to develop close relationships with the RDAs, other LEADER programmes, Local Authorities and the beneficiaries of the scheme.
We are looking for a self-motivated manager with a track record of developing new initiatives and managing target focussed projects. Your entrepreneurial flair will be underpinned by a strong background gained in the small business and/or the rural sector. Motivational skills are a must, as are excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
